If your office is closing over the holidays, it’s a good idea to setup auto-responders on your email account. Auto-responders will let customers or associates aware that you are away should you receive any emails during this time.
For Oley Media Group hosting clients, you can create auto-responders in your hosting control panel (CPanel). To access your CPanel, go to cpanel.yourdomainname.com/ (e.g. cpanel.oleymedia.com) Here, you will be prompted for your user name and password. These details are available in your ‘Hosting Setup – Welcome’ email which you should have received when your hosting account was created. If you can not locate these details, please contact us.
Once you are logged into CPanel, under the MAIL heading, click on the icon AUTO RESPONDER.
Once in the Auto Responder area, click on ADD AUTO RESPONDER. You can then enter the details:
- Email address
- From details
- Subject ( you can either use their email subject or create your own)
Once you have entered your details, click on CREATE/MODIFY
That’s it! You just have to remember to remove this message them once you return to the office.
